We are excited to announce Well Done Cooking Classes and Factory Builder Stores have paired up to offer supplementary cooking classes in a new location!

Well Done will offer classes in The Heights as well as classes at Factory Builder Stores’ showroom. This is a limited time opportunity to give more classes around the galleria.

Celeste Terrell (and Kathryn Herod), the ambitious duo behind Well Done Culinary Classes, have turned their love of food and education into a venture.

Well Done Executive Chefs, Celeste Terrell & Kathryn Herod Well Done offers public classes as well as a private cooking class for you and your friends, family, or coworkers in your own kitchen or space. Each participant of Well Done’s cooking classes is given hands-on guidance and a chance to make delicious meals. But most importantly, we want to have fun.

The duo are an ambitious couple who have turned their passion for cooking and culinary school into a successful business. They invite others to their house to try their delicious recipes, get questions answered, and socialize with their friends while enjoying a glass or two of wine.

Terrell & Herod teach six cooking classes each week, for friends, couples, and home chefs-to-be, and a few private parties, for corporate groups.

While Houstonians have been able to take cooking classes at Central Market and Sur La Table for years, the ladies brag that their classes are BYOB, which has a way of loosening up the crowd. Don’t you think every French dish should be enjoyed with wine and each rack of ribs with beer?

People feel more at ease when they are in their own home. Terrell smiles and says that you can tell the difference. She leads classes from the center of a U-shaped countertop island, where about a dozen people gather around gas stoves, sauteing, searing and stirring on her command.

Well Done has grown rapidly from just two people living in small apartments to having thousands of sales through sites such as Living Social. The TV commercial on TLC’s The Little Couple also helped to increase their audience.

A rising number of foodies and TV cooks is requesting specialized instruction. Castro is a private chef and chairman of The Art Institute of Tampa’s culinary arts department. Terrell stated that Well Done wants students to have a personal, intimate, and close learning experience. Her job could have been to just lecture or show off, Terrell stated.

The classes, which can last 3 to 4 hours each, are filled with questions. Why is that pan being used? Why are you using that oil? What if I don’t have that ingredient? What should I do?

They were happy to help, even if it meant they didn’t know what to do with people who don’t want to be a part of the “invisible” kitchen.
