Ninja 3-In-1 Cooking System Review + Pot Roast Recipe

Informationmercials are not something I believe in. I think they are a lot of hype created to sell us crap we don’t need. I pass right by them when I’m flipping channels, although I think there might be a blog posts in there somewhere for weirdest infomercial items.

The other day, I was talking to a friend and told her I needed a new slow cooker. Alan’s grandmother used this slow cooker back when he wasn’t a young boy. This thing is an original and still works, but I wanted something I could leave on without worry. My friend told me that she had a Ninja 3-in-1 Cooking System and loved it and since I needed a new slow cooker I may as well get the Ninja.

A friend of mine is smart, loves cooking and recommended me to her. However, I did some research about the Ninja System. Then I experienced a moment of “squirrel” and went off to another task. Later in the night, as I was scrolling through television channels, what did I see but an infomercial about Ninja 3-in-1 Food System. Huh, really??? Needless to say, it’s one informercial that I actually watched longer than 30 seconds. Between the recommendation, my research and the infomercial I decided to give the Ninja a try.

Easy to set-up the Ninja. The Ninja is easy to put together. The 3-in-1 cooker can double as a slow cook, an oven top, or a stovetop. Personally, I’m just interested in using it as a slow cooker, but I did use the stove top setting when making the pot roast which saved me dirtying a couple other pans so that was a nice benefit.

Two dials make it easy to operate the Ninja. A dial for setting the oven temp.

For the pot roast, I placed the Ninja high on the stovetop in order to brown the meat.

After I had brown the meat, I adjusted the temperature to Slow Cook High. Once that was done, all my vegetables were added along with 1 cup of water.

Yum….

Slow cook high automatically heats food up for four hours. It then retains it warm for as long as six hours. A slow cook low setting takes 8 hours to cook the food and then warms it. This is a great option for parents who work. Simply set the slow cooker to low before heading off to work. The food will cook quickly and be ready when you get home.

You’re done with dinner. Your meat has been cooked to your liking. It was easy to take the meat out and put the vegetables in the pan. Then I just had to change the temperature of the oven to medium. It is so easy to do.

You may have seen my Ninja 3 in 1 Cooking System Reviews. It is a wonderful appliance. It is great for both home and travel. Here’s an example. Every year, we go on a camping trip with our family in New York. Every year, it rains. No one likes the idea of grilling in the drizzle. I make sandwiches if there is no one to grill. Sandwiches are my favorite thing, but I prefer a juicy burger. It is possible to cook burgers in the Ninja 3 in 1 Cooking System. We thought the burgers were very juicy and tender.

To make burgers in the Ninja 3-in-1 Cooking System you use stovetop mode. You can cook your burgers on the stovetop in regular mode. Because I was impatient, I used high heat. These could also be cooked on medium, but I doubt it.

It is possible to get rid of fats as you cook.

Cooking the burgers was quick and easy. They were cooked quickly and I used tongs to turn them several times.

A cheeseburger can be substituted for a regular hamburger by adding a slice of cheese to each burger approximately 2 minutes prior to it being finished cooking.

You can serve and enjoy your burgers as you please.

Ninja At Work … Letting Me Know When My Meal Will Be Done Stephanie O’Dea talked about her love of the Ninja 3-in-1 Cooking System in a presentation at the International Food Bloggers Conference last year and word spread quickly about this wonderful new piece of kitchen equipment. Ninja was kind enough to give me her system!

Stephanie is someone you need to get to know if you haven’t. Her blog is one of my favorites and she’s a close friend. Stephanie O’Dea’s Recent Cookbook photo courtesy Lisa Irvine Stephanie’s expertise on nearly everything has been something I trust! However, it was a long time before my Ninja 3 in 1 Cooking System came out of the box. Last year, I pulled out my Ninja 3-in-1 Cooking System to cook Stephanie’s Slow Cooked Maple Ham. It is an easy and crowd-pleasing recipe that everyone loves. My Special Zesty turkey breast (you won’t go back for regular turkey breast ever again) was then made. It was simple to use the slow cooker. This is only one function that Ninja 3 in 1 Cooking System has. It was amazing! The digital display shows the remaining cooking time. This is a great feature. For easy cleaning, I like the non-stick metal pot. It is also very sturdy. You know that black makes everything seem smaller. It’s true even for slow cookers. I was skeptical that a “monster” ham would fit in the Ninja, but it did with no problem. Similar results were achieved with large turkey breasts.
