Totino’S Pepperoni Pizza Stuffers Review

Prev article Next Article Totinos’ pizza rolls have become a household name. Other people love the affordable frozen pizza that Totino’s makes. Some people may be familiar with their Nintendo Switch giveaway. But we wonder how many people are aware that the Totino’s line can actually get really, really weird. You don’t have to believe what we are saying. Our local Target found Totinos Pepperoni Pizza Stuffers in its freezer aisle. Although they aren’t as crazy as the Takis Fuego recipe, our experience with the mashup was surprising. Totino’s is tackling the pizza pocket phenomenon with this mashup.

This is an easy recipe to make. To make it easy, wrap a Pizza Stuffer. Once it’s unwrapped, put it in the microwave. Turn it upside down and then return it to the microwave for 30- 60 seconds more. These are not individually wrapped. There are 2 pizza pockets in each wrapper. Even though two can be made at a go, the time it takes to make them will have to be increased. If you want them to be really good, you can cook them in the oven. However, it’ll increase your cooking time significantly. The full instructions for cooking can be found on the back. We were expecting these to be just a little bit crispy, like pizza rolls, but the shells are actually really soft. The shells feel more like an actual pizza pocket shell and less like an enchilada. We microwaved our pizza pocket, because that’s how we think most people will heat these, but we’re tempted to think these might come out differently if cooked in the oven. The shell’s flavor is not exceptional, but it does not get in your way.

Filling is why we’re here. This recipe contains a combination of tomato puree, pieces of mozzarella cheese and cubes pepperoni. It has a classic Totino’s sauce with a slightly acidic taste. The mozzarella cheese doesn’t really melt, it just sort of sticks together. The pepperoni is actually spicier than we were expecting, and it’s the real flavor-driver here.

There are four pizza pockets in this box. The one-pound package contains 290 calories as well as 630 mg sodium. Those numbers wouldn’t be so bad if these were bigger, but as is, one of these is hardly even a snack. You’ll see the numbers rise if you consume all of it in one sitting, which we believe is possible. Totinos Pizza Stuffers is a good budget pizza option. However, these are currently priced at $3.99 at Target, making them about three times the price of a Totino’s pizza. They are still a good way to have more pizza in your day. While we like the Bremer Aldi pizza sandwiches better than the Totino’s one, some would argue otherwise. They’re okay, but not exceptional, and a little too expensive.

Below are our scans of the packages that contain information on nutrition and other details.
