Aldi does not have any plans to open stores in Seattle or Washington State. German supermarket chain Aldi has plans to increase its presence in American Southwest and Gulf Coast. Additionally, it will funnel funds towards store refurbishments in Northeast.
Aldi Isn’t Coming to Seattle, Washington State?
Aldi is currently building in the American Southwest. (They just opened their fourth Arizona shop), but they also have a strong presence in Florida’s Gulf Coast.
Aldi is also building a new distribution centre in Loxley to help facilitate goods movement throughout the Gulf Coast. Aldi has entered Louisiana, its 38th state.
This chain is also involved in numerous store renovations that update interiors and layouts across the Northeast.
Aldi could be focusing on the Gulf Coast area rather than Washington. Seattle, the main hub for the region’s economy is a curious question. This could be related to population density.
I would be surprised if this didn’t factor in somewhat with Aldi’s expansion plans.
